I made a useless website.
I made a useless website.

So, in August of 2025, I decided to type isthisawebsite.com
into my web browser out of pure boredom. Nothing came up. I checked archive.org to see if the name had ever been used before. It had been registered from 2014 to 2018, simply displaying a grid full of randomly coloured boxes. It then expired and fell off the face of the web, and that was that.
And yet for some reason, the name intrigued me so much that, a full 7 months on, I decide to re-register it and put up my own project. A completely useless project, that I felt compelled to create regardless of its functionality.
I created this: A website that only declares itself as such when precisely 100 people are looking at it. Not 99, not 101, just 100. It starts off much easier, though, simply asking for 2 people. But then it ups the goal by one, asking for another person, and another person.
When it reaches 100, it becomes the internet's job to hold the user count at precisely 100 people for as long as possible. The longest 'Yes.' state is timed, and a certificate message is presented to the user.
Now, will it ever happen? Who knows. It's up to you now, internet. Till then, the answer is 'No.'
